Please tell Rupert that I marvelled at his playing—in particular, his ability to play a soft final note that disappears into eternity without a single waver. It is a rare talent and he gave us many magical moments. He was also able to be his characterful self when adjusting to trio playing with Raphael Wallfisch… A partnership of equals.
