TALK: NOT JUST ANOTHER PERFORMANCE OF THE ELGAR SONATA

Rupert Marshall-Luck prepared the scholarly-critical edition of the Violin Sonata of Edward Elgar which was published by the prestigious German firm of G. Henle Verlag in 2019. In this illustrated talk, he describes the process of editing the work, the challenges presented by the source material, and the discoveries the new edition reveals.
